Ajmer: Police in Ajmer district of Rajasthan have achieved a major success against cyber crime and mobile theft. The cyber cell of Ajmer Police and a joint team of various police station units together have recovered 215 lost and stolen mobile phones. The total estimated price of these mobile phones is said to be more than Rs 50 lakh. After this action, happiness returned on the faces of mobile owners, who expressed gratitude to the police for getting their lost phones back.

This campaign not only exemplifies technical efficiency but also shows that effective solutions to modern-day challenges are possible through digital tracking and coordinated policing.

CEIR portal and technical tracking became the key to success

According to the police, Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal, mobile IMEI tracking, and digital surveillance technologies played an important role in this entire operation. As soon as a mobile complaint is registered, its technical information is fed into the system.

After this, the Cyber Cell team continuously monitored and tracked the mobiles which were found active in different states. In many cases it also emerged that stolen or lost mobile phones were being used in other states outside Rajasthan.

Based on technical analysis, the police not only traced the location but also coordinated with the police of the respective states and carried forward the recovery operation.

The issue of mobile network usage had spread to many states.

Investigation revealed that many of the recovered mobile phones were active in different states outside Rajasthan. Some phones were in normal use while some were being used by tampering or changing the SIMs so that their identity could be hidden.

However, the Cyber Cell team through continuous digital tracking and field inputs identified these devices and succeeded in recovering them. This action is an example of how modern technology is making it more difficult for criminals to escape.

Coordinated operation and leadership of the police team

This entire operation was carried out under the direction of the District Superintendent of Police. Cyber cell experts along with teams from various police stations of the district jointly launched an organized campaign.

Police officials said that in such cases, along with technical proficiency, patience and constant monitoring is very important. The team found these mobiles through continuous data analysis, call detail tracking and IMEI monitoring for several days.

People became emotional after returning the mobile, expressed gratitude to the police

While getting the mobile back, many people expressed happiness and thanked the police administration. Some people said that they had no hope that their lost phone would be recovered, but this action of Ajmer Police rekindled their hopes.

During the mobile distribution program, police officers themselves handed over their mobiles to the victims. During this, the atmosphere became emotional and positive with words like “Thank you Ajmer Police”.
