IPL 2026 LSG vs CSK Playing 11: Rishabh Pant-led Lucknow Super Giants will square off against Ruturaj Gaikwad-led Chennai Super Kings in the 59th match of the IPL 2026 on May 15 at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow.

With Lucknow Super Giants having been knocked out of the tournament, Chennai Super Kings are one of the strong contenders for the IPL 2026 playoffs.

With Super Giants sinks in the bottom, CSK sits in the fourth spot of the IPL 2026 points table. CSK and LSG have met on 7 occasions where both sides have three wins and one game ended with no result.

Lucknow Super Giants won the toss and opted to bowl. Speaking on the toss, LSG Captain Rishabh Pant said, “We will look to bowl first. See, the wicket is looking a little bit tacky. Didn’t want to go out there and bat ourselves.”

“See, as a team, we definitely have a lot to achieve. That is something we are trying to do. Akash Singh is playing tonight. His first game of the season. There is no running away. We are a little frustrated. We know we have it in us as a team. We still want to play good cricket.

CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad said, “It is a privilege to have, always a privilege to wear this Yellow jersey. Privilege to be here.”

“This is the kind of venue where you have to bat well and bowl well as well. Batting first, we need to put up a good score. Looks like there’s a bit of moisture. If we score 170-180, it will be a good total to defend.”

“Urvil coming in, Mukesh coming in, it helps them grow and whenever we have a good squad, we deliver. It has been a must-win for a while now and we want to take it one game at a time. We have a couple of changes – Spencer Johnson makes his debut and Gurjapneet comes in for Akeal,” concluded Gaikwad.
