The Maharashtra Higher and Technical Education Department will begin the diploma admission process for engineering, technology and architecture courses from May 20 for the 2026-27 academic session.
Maharashtra Diploma Admission 2026: The admission process for First Year Diploma courses in Engineering and Technology as well as Architecture after Class 10 for the academic year 2026-27 will begin from May 20, the Maharashtra Higher and Technical Education Department announced on Thursday. Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Dada Patil has directed the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) to conduct the entire process in a planned and time-bound manner.
The announcement comes as thousands of SSC students across Maharashtra prepare to explore diploma education as an alternative pathway into engineering, technical careers and entrepreneurship.

Speaking about the admission process, Chandrakant Patil said technical education has become an important option for students looking to build career-oriented skills at an early stage.
