CBSE Class 12 Re-evaluation 2026: The CBSE has released guidelines regarding re-evaluation and marks verification for Class 12 students. Let’s look at the full details…
Following the announcement of the Class 12 Board Examination 2026 results, the CBSE has announced post-result facilities for students. Students who are not satisfied with their marks can now obtain scanned copies of their answer sheets online and, if necessary, apply for verification or re-evaluation. The Board has released the complete procedure and the application dates.
According to reports, students will be able to obtain scanned copies of their answer sheets starting May 19, 2026. The deadline for applications has been set for May 22, 2026. For this service, students will be required to pay a fee of ₹700 per subject.
Dates for Verification and Re-evaluation
After obtaining the scanned copies of their answer sheets, students will be able to apply for marks verification and re-evaluation. The online application process for this will run from May 26 to May 29, 2026. A fee of ₹500 per answer sheet has been fixed for verification, while a fee of ₹100 per question will be charged for re-evaluation.
The Process Will Be Completed in Two Phases
According to the guidelines issued by the CBSE, the re-evaluation process will be completed in two phases. In the first phase, students will obtain the scanned copies of the answer sheets for the relevant subjects. Subsequently, in the second phase, students will be able to apply for the verification and re-evaluation of their answers.
Make a Deliberate Decision Before Applying
The CBSE has advised students to carefully decide—before applying—whether they wish to apply for a single subject or for multiple subjects. Once an application has been submitted, no further opportunity will be provided.
Marks May Also Decrease
Following re-evaluation, marks may either increase or decrease. If any changes occur in the marks, the student will be required to submit their original marksheet and certificate. Subsequently, a new certificate will be issued by the Board.
Re-evaluation Facility Available Only to These Students
According to media reports, only those students who have previously applied to obtain a scanned copy of their answer sheet will be eligible to apply for verification and re-evaluation.
Applications Accepted Online Only
The entire process will be conducted exclusively through online channels. It is mandatory for students to submit their applications and fees within the stipulated time limit. Applications will be accepted only once for each stage of the process.
