New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has now decided to re-conduct the NEET UG 2026 exam after canceling it due to the paper leak issue. Re-NEET exam will be conducted simultaneously across the country on June 21, 2026 (Sunday).
NTA has made this announcement after getting the approval from the government. This time, strict security arrangements will be made in the examination. There will be CCTV cameras, biometric verification and strong monitoring system at the examination centres.
The paper leak gang has been exposed in the CBI investigation and many accused have been arrested. The scam had created outrage among students and parents across the country.
According to NTA, the result will also be declared soon after the re-exam so that the medical counseling process is not affected. Students have been advised to regularly check the updates on the official website of NTA. Admit cards will be issued soon.
This decision has been taken with the aim of maintaining the time bound process of medical education.
