If you like tasty and healthy food with less oil and mild spices, then this easy recipe of Paneer Bhurji can be a great option for you. This dish is not only quick to prepare, but being rich in protein, it is also considered beneficial for health.

Paneer Bhurji is generally liked as breakfast or light dinner. It does not require much material to make it and it is ready in a few minutes.

Ingredients required for Paneer Bhurji:

  • 200 grams paneer (grated)
  • 1 medium sized onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tomato (finely chopped)
  • 1 green chilli (as per taste)
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder (optional)
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp oil (in small quantity)
  • green coriander for decoration

Method of preparation:

First of all, lightly heat a non-stick pan and add only 1 teaspoon oil in it. After the oil is hot, add finely chopped onion and fry until it becomes light golden.

After this add green chillies and tomatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes, until the tomatoes become soft. Now add turmeric, coriander powder, red chilli powder and salt and mix well.

When the spices are cooked well and fragrant, add grated cheese to it. Cook it on low flame for 3-4 minutes while mixing gently so that the spices get mixed well in the paneer.

Keep in mind not to cook the paneer for too long, otherwise it may become hard. Before turning off the gas, add finely chopped coriander to it, which will further enhance its taste.

How to serve:

You can serve Paneer Bhurji hot with roti, paratha or bread. It is also a perfect and healthy option for breakfast.
