Knews Desk– The discussion regarding the prices of LPG gas cylinders has once again intensified across the country. Amidst the rising crude oil prices and global tensions in the international market, the rates of domestic and commercial LPG cylinders are increasing people’s concerns. Although it is a matter of relief that there has been no major change in the prices of domestic gas cylinders at present, but there has been a huge jump in the prices of commercial cylinders.

What is the rate for your city?

New Delhi ₹913.00 | ₹3,071.50 Kolkata ₹939.00 | ₹3,202.00 Mumbai ₹912.50 | ₹3,024.00 Chennai ₹928.50 | ₹3,237.00 Gurgaon ₹921.50 | ₹3,088.00 Noida ₹910.50 | ₹3,071.50 Bengaluru ₹915.50 | ₹3,152.00 Bhubaneswar ₹939.00 | ₹3,238.00 Chandigarh ₹922.50 | ₹3,092.50 Hyderabad ₹965.00 | ₹3,315.00 Jaipur ₹916.50 | ₹3,099.00 Lucknow ₹950.50 | ₹3,194.00 Patna ₹1,002.50 | ₹3,346.50 Thiruvananthapuram ₹922.00 | ₹3,106.00

Relief to domestic consumers, domestic cylinder prices stable

America-Iran-Israel tension and rising prices of crude oil are the major reasons for this surge. With crude oil prices reaching around $100 per barrel in the international market, the cost of LPG and other fuels in India has been affected. Talking about state-wise prices, domestic LPG cylinders are relatively expensive in Bihar, Assam and North-Eastern states, while prices are slightly lower in Delhi and some other metros. For example, in Bihar the domestic cylinder has reached above Rs 1000, whereas in many cities of Punjab and Uttar Pradesh it is being sold between Rs 910 and Rs 960.

Oil companies say that to provide relief to domestic consumers, domestic cylinder prices have been kept stable at present, but changes in prices are possible in future if the global situation worsens. At the same time, the impact of rising prices of commercial gas cylinders is clearly visible on hotels, restaurants and small businessmen.
