New Delhi. Pakistan women’s team captain Fatima Sana registered her name in cricket history with her explosive batting in the third and last T20 match played against Zimbabwe. In this match, Fatima completed half-century in just 15 balls and made the world record of fastest fifty in women’s T20 International cricket.
In the match, Pakistan, batting first, scored 223 runs at the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. Fatima Sana played an unbeaten inning of 62 runs in 19 balls, which included 10 fours and 2 brilliant sixes. His aggressive batting left the Zimbabwean bowlers completely helpless.
Chasing the target of 224 runs, Zimbabwe’s team could not stand against Pakistan’s lethal bowling and were reduced to just 90 runs. Pakistan won the match by 133 runs and won the series 3-0. Earlier, Pakistan had also defeated Zimbabwe 3-0 in the ODI series.
Before Fatima Sana, the record for the fastest half-century in Women’s T20 International was jointly held by India’s Richa Ghosh, New Zealand’s Sophie Devine and Australia’s Phoebe Litchfield, who achieved this feat in 18 balls. But now this record has reached 15 balls.
