In what will probably go down as one of the most enjoyable innings of IPL 2026, Angkrish Raghuvanshi stole the show for the Kolkata Knight Riders in their match against the Gujarat Titans at Eden Gardens. The youngster, who remained not out on 82 off 44 balls was particularly impressive for his scoring rate and also two shots that were reminiscent of the masters of batting Tillakaratne Dilshan and AB de Villiers.
Raghuvanshi smashed 4 boundaries and 7 sixes during the knock as he took Kolkata to a commanding score of 247/2 against the Gujarat Titans.

In the 6th over of the match, against Kagiso Rabada, he played what must be one of the shots of the season. The quick short ball outside the off stump came at him at good pace, he got in a good position to dig it out over fine leg for a maximum. It was reminiscent of what Dilshan has done to so many top bowlers around the world-the Dilscoop.
The execution was perfect, timing exquisite and clearly showed the young lad's confident approach to the game against an experienced pace attack. Later in the innings, he played another audacious stroke reminding people of AB de Villiers and his 360 degree style of batting. Not to forget, AB de Villiers is also an idol of the young KKR batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi.

In the 19th over of the KKR innings, Raghuvanshi played a reverse paddle over the wicketkeeper for four off Mohammed Siraj's bowling. Perfectly using the pace on the ball, Raghuvanshi guided the ball behind the wicketkeeper in signature AB de Villiers fashion. It was the perfect end to the incredible innings from the KKR batter. This knock has continued Raghuvanshi's incredible season which sees him in elite company in IPL history.
The young batter now has as many fifty-plus scores at the age of 21 in an IPL season as some of the greatest young Indian batters.
