LPG Price Today: Latest prices of gas cylinders released, know the new rates of domestic and commercial LPG?

Business Desk- LPG Price Today: Amidst the rising prices of petrol and diesel across the country, the price of LPG gas cylinders has also become a big topic of discussion among the general public. However, there is some relief for domestic consumers as there has been no increase in the price of 14.2 kg standard domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi.

In the national capital Delhi, as of Saturday, May 16, a domestic gas cylinder is available at Rs 913, a development that has certainly given some relief to middle-class families. In contrast, the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has increased to Rs 3,071.50.

This has increased the concerns of hotel owners, restaurant owners and small businessmen, as rising gas prices are directly impacting their operating expenses and profit margins. Many businessmen say that due to the continuously increasing prices of commercial cylinders, running their business has become more difficult than before.

In March 2026, there was a huge increase of Rs 60 per cylinder in the price of domestic cooking gas (14.2 kg) cylinders across the country. There has been no further change in prices since then.

Petrol and diesel become expensive, but relief on domestic cylinders

The decision of the Central Government to increase the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 3 per liter has started putting a burden on the pockets of common people. However, amid this situation, there has been no new increase in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders.

Oil marketing companies (OMCs) have currently kept the prices of domestic cylinders stable. It is worth noting that the last major revision in the prices of domestic gas cylinders was on March 7, when an increase of Rs 60 per cylinder was implemented.

Why did the prices of commercial cylinders increase?

Today’s LPG cylinder price in metro cities and state capitals of India. In the capital New Delhi, domestic cylinder is available for Rs 913, while the price of commercial cylinder has increased to Rs 3,071.50. In Mumbai, domestic cylinder is being sold for Rs 912.50 and commercial cylinder for Rs 3,024.

Commercial cylinder has reached Rs 3,237 in Chennai and Rs 3,202 in Kolkata. At the same time, in Hyderabad the price of domestic cylinder has become Rs 965 and commercial cylinder has become Rs 3,315. In Patna, domestic cylinder is available for Rs 1,002.50 and commercial cylinder for Rs 3,346.50.

Talking about the states, in Madhya Pradesh the price of domestic LPG cylinder has become Rs 918.50 and that of commercial cylinder has become Rs 3,074.50. In Chhattisgarh, domestic cylinder is available for Rs 984 and commercial cylinder for Rs 3,294.50.

In Uttar Pradesh, domestic cylinder costs Rs 950.50 and commercial cylinder costs Rs 3,194. In Bihar, domestic cylinder has reached Rs 1,002.50, while commercial cylinder is being sold for Rs 3,346.50.

Most expensive domestic cylinder in Tripura

The most expensive domestic cylinder is Rs 1,073.50 in Tripura and Rs 1,065.50 in Sikkim. At the same time, the highest price of commercial cylinder has been recorded at Rs 3,577.50 in Sikkim and Rs 3,559 in Tripura.
