Imran Khan has shared the downside of raising his daughter Imara alone following his split from former wife Avantika.
In an exclusive interview with Parineeti Chopra on Mom Talks, the Bit Batti actor opened up about how he often struggles to arrange playdates for his daughter.
Imran highlighted that as a single parent, some parents have been quite hesitant to send their kids over. These repeated refusals have taken a toll on his daughter’s mental health.
He said, “I would try to make plans. And Imara would ask me, “Can you ask this friend if they can come over to play?” So I would find the number and message one mom: “Can so-and-so come over to play?” And they would say, “Sorry, not today.” Next week again: “Hi, can we do it”, they are like, “No, not today.”
In addition, the You go… or you go… actor said that it has been extremely difficult for him to set up a playdate since he is divorced and ‘there’s no woman at home.’
He also acknowledged that he doesn’t oppose the idea of not sending little girls to a single man’s house, as society is full of problematic men.
For the unversed, Imran and Avantika called their marriage off after eight years.
