Ram Charan ’s upcoming movie ‘Peddi’ is one of the most anticipated films and features music composed by Oscar-winning AR Rahman . Recently, the director Buchi Babu Sana revealed that he rejected three tunes composed by a legendary music director.
As the movie is set to release on June 4, with the trailer scheduled to be out tomorrow, the makers have begun promoting the film. During a conversation with Telugu360, Buchi Babu Sana shared an interesting moment that happened while working on the film’s music.
Buchi Babu Sana after listening to AR Rahman ’s songsBuchi Babu Sana spoke openly about the music discussions with AR Rahman. He said, “We went to Rahman sir’s house in Dubai to listen to the tunes. He asked to go downstairs in and listen and come back upstairs. He asked how each tune was and I said all of them were bad and not impressive. So he said ‘ok. Will do more then’. He in fact said he is afraid to make me listen to the tunes (laughingly).”
Makers have released two songs from the films, including ‘Chikiri Chikiri’ and ‘Rai Rai Raa Raa’ which have been well-received by the fans. One is a soulful song while the other is an energetic number.
Buchi Babu Sana explains he earlier narrated Janhvi’s role to KhushiMany Ram Charan fans are now praising Buchi Babu Sana for being clear about what he wants for the movie. In another interview with news outlet M9, the director shared that he first pitched the role of Janhvi Kapoor ’s character Achiyyamma to her younger sister Khushi Kapoor . However, he thought she was too young for the role. “I initially narrated the film to Khushi Kapoor. But once I saw her in person, I realised that she’s too young for this character. Now, imagine when I have to reject Khushi and give narration to Janhvi in the same home. I felt bad and asked Janhvi if Khushi didn’t take offence,” he said.
About ‘Peddi’Speaking of ‘Peddi’, the film is a village-based sports action drama that features Ram Charan in two avatars, one as a rugged cricketer and the other as a Pehelwan. The movie also includes Janhvi Kapoor as the female and Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu and Boman Irani among others.
