Actually, the board meeting of International Cricket Council is going to be held in Ahmedabad this month. Mohsin Naqvi has been invited for this meeting.

Will Mohsin Naqvi come to India?

According to reports, this ICC meeting will be held in Ahmedabad on 30th and 31st May. Meanwhile, the IPL 2026 match is to be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. In such a situation, the biggest question before this ICC meeting is whether PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi will come to India or not. In view of the poor relations between India and Pakistan, there is uncertainty over Naqvi’s visit to India.

Had agreed to give trophy to Indian team

Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi was in the headlines last year for the Asia Cup trophy controversy. After India became the champion in this tournament, he refused to give the trophy and medal to the Indian team. After this, Naqvi took the trophy with him and threw him out of the stadium. According to reports, that Asia Cup trophy is still kept in Dubai. There was huge tension between BCCI and PCB on this issue and the Board of Control for India had sought intervention from ICC. However, even after months, no outcome has been found in this matter.

Team India has not gone on Pakistan tour since 2008

Cricket relations between India and Pakistan have remained limited since the Mumbai terrorist attacks in 2008. The Indian team has not toured Pakistan since the 26/11 terrorist attacks. Apart from this, ICC tournaments and Asia Cup are played between the two countries in neutral venues.
