Kolkata. Now there is BJP government in West Bengal. BJP governments are known for strict enforcement of the law. In such a situation, she is also following the instructions of the Supreme Court regarding loudspeakers installed at religious places including mosques. At the same time, the Maulanas of West Bengal have clearly said that they will not remove loudspeakers from mosques.

Maulana Mohammad Shafiq Qasmi, Imam of Kolkata’s Nakhoda Mosque, said that the rules to loudspeakers were not made by the BJP government but by the Pollution Control Board. Qasmi says that according to the law, neither the Pollution Control Board nor the Supreme Court has ordered the removal of loudspeakers. According to the Imam of Nakhoda Mosque, the restriction is that the sound of loudspeaker should be 75 to 80 decibels in industrial areas, 70 to 75 decibels in commercial areas, 65 to 70 decibels in residential areas and 40 to 45 decibels in silence zones. He said that but the police is asking to remove the loudspeaker. Which is wrong. The Imam of Nakhoda Mosque said that the police should work as per the law and we will also do the same.
Let us tell you that on Friday, when the police tried to remove the loud loudspeakers installed in a mosque in Jahangiri Mohalla of Asansol, West Bengal, the mob attacked the police post and vandalized it there. Police have so far arrested 21 people in this case. On the basis of CCTV footage, more miscreants are being searched. Only after this, Imam Mohammad Shafiq Qasmi of Nakhoda Mosque has said that the loudspeakers installed in the mosques of West Bengal will not be removed. In such a situation, this issue can create a new arena of politics between the ruling BJP in West Bengal and the out of power TMC.
