6 Illegal Polluting Factories Sealed in Delhi: Rekha Gupta government is continuously in action mode regarding air pollution in Delhi. Rapid decisions are being taken to reduce the pollution level in Delhi. In this sequence, 6 illegal factories causing pollution in Delhi have been sealed. Delhi MCD, while running a big campaign against illegal factories causing pollution in Saboli area, sealed six factories. The action was taken by the team of Delhi Pollution Control Committee, Municipal Corporation.
Giving information about action taken to seal 6 illegal factories, Corporation Commissioner Mamta Yadav said that complaints were being received for a long time regarding smoke, chemical smell and waste materials emanating from factories in the area. After this an inspection campaign was conducted.
Corporation Commissioner Mamta Yadav further said that during the investigation, violations of pollution control standards were found in many factories. Industrial activities were being carried out in some factories without permission. Environmental rules were not being followed. If the team found irregularities, the factories have been sealed with immediate effect. Heavy police force was deployed to maintain law and order during the operation.
The campaign will continue
According to Delhi Municipal Corporation, the campaign against illegally operating and polluting factories will continue in the future. Officials have also appealed to the people to give information to the administration about such factories operating near them.
