One Eurovision entry has reportedly submitted an official complaint following a mishap on stage in the 2026 final. During his commentary, Graham Norton revealed that a cameraperson fell over as Czechia's act performed.
Daniel Zizka had been singing Crossroads, but as it came to an end, Graham took a moment to mention the blunders. He said: "A great performance vocally, but quite a few technical problems there. That did not happen in any of the rehearsals, the distorted picture. And I think the cameraman inside the mirrors, I think he fell? I'm not quite sure, but Czechia won't be happy about that."
As he introduced the next act, Graham added: "But the show goes on!" However, according to the Super TV Twitter account, an official complaint has been made. The post on X stated, "The Czechia delegation submitted a complaint but has been denied a second go."
Underneath the post, they claimed, "There was a small camera issue during the performance of Czechia's song at the Grand Final. The performance and audio were not affected, so the song will not be performed again."
Express.co.uk has reached out to the BBC for comment.
The decision sparked division from fans, with one commenting underneath the post, "Rightly so to be honest, it didn't really affect anything! And not really a frontrunner."
Another said, "A SMALL camera issue?? ... SMALL."
While a third added, "He is the best singer this year, but alas, they did him dirty."
Someone else went on, "Yeah, people are NOT gonna agree with this decision."
After the Eurovision final, Daniel Zizka broke his silence on Instagram. He penned, "No matter what happened, I enjoyed every single second of that performance, and I sang this song for YOU!
"Thank you for all your incredible support, all your votes, your messages, and your love tonight. It truly means everything to me.
"Spread love, not hate. Eurovision is about standing united."
The Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
