With the GTA 6 release date just six months away, it's no surprise that fans are starting to get a little antsy about the lack of information. In the years since Rockstar Games confirmed that the sequel was in active development, fans have only been treated to two Grand Theft Auto 6 trailers, a few character profiles and a selection of screenshots. Factor in the inability to pre-order the game, the lack of price tag and the fact that it's already been delayed multiple times, and you can see why fans are nervous that GTA 6 won't make its November 19 release date.
However, if the latest leak is anything to go by, Rockstar Games may finally be ready to break its silence and drop a treasure trove of new information about GTA 6, including a brand new trailer, how much the game will cost and when you can pre-order. Daily Express will keep this page updated with all the latest developments as we countdown to the potential Trailer 3 reveal and pre-orders.
While there have plenty of leaks, lots of far out theories and extreme fan behaviour regarding the next GTA 6 trailer, the most recent leak seems fairly concrete.
Multiple fans have reportedly received Best Buy affiliate emails about pre-ordering Grand Theft Auto 6. According to the email, GTA 6 pre-orders will go live on May 18.
The emails - which look perfectly legit - give customers a 5% discount when pre-ordering a physical copy of GTA 6 between May 18 and May 21.
Assuming the information is correct and Rockstar doesn't change its mind, this means that not only will fans be able to pre-order the game from May 18, but we'll also finally discover how much GTA 6 will cost. Specifically, whether it will cost more than the average game in 2026 and what this could mean for video game prices going forward.
Now, while this is a pretty monumental milestone in the development of GTA 6, there are further implications that are even more exciting.
It seems unfathomable that GTA 6 pre-orders will go live without a new trailer to back it up. Indeed, if GTA 6 pre-orders begin on May 18, then expect Trailer 3 to drop on the same day.
In terms of timings, GTA 6 Trailer 1 was originally pencilled in for a 2pm UK release time on December 5, 2023. However, Rockstar ended up releasing it on the evening of December 4 following a leak. Likewise, GTA 6 Trailer 2 dropped at around 2.30pm UK time on May 6, 2025.
Ignoring the hasty release of Trailer 1 following the leak, the previous timings would suggest that Trailer 3 could drop between 2-3pm BST UK time on the afternoon of May 18. That's 6-7am PT / 9-10am ET if you live in the US, or 3-4pm CET if you live in Europe.
This is by no means concrete, and the whole Best Buy email thing could be an elaborate ruse, but it does feel more concrete than previous leaks, so fingers crossed by Monday afternoon we could have all the information we need about GTA 6.
In a blog post on the Rockstar Games website, the duo are said to be in the middle of a criminal conspiracy in the state of Leonida.
"Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them," reads a Rockstar Games blog post.
"But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida - forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive."
The characters are individually spotlighted alongside some of the supporting cast. Jason Duval is said to want the easy life, while Lucia Caminos is described as a fighter who will do anything for family.
The game takes place in the fictional state of Leonida, which is based on Florida.
Locations include the iconic Vice City, as well as Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga National Park.
