Kemi Badenoch admitted it is "very flattering" that American rappers Nicki Minaj and Azealia Banks praised her despatch box demolition of Labour's leadership crisis. Sharing a clip of the Tory leader on Wednesday, Minaj wrote: "The UK is truly one of a kind. They will portray her in film and TV one day... just like they did with Margaret Thatcher."
And Ms Banks described Mrs Badenoch as "a star". The Conservative leader told Sir Trevor Phillips: "I think they just like feistiness.
"I think that they're online a lot, and they've seen these videos. I'm just amazed that people across the Atlantic are watching our PMQs.
"I think it's something that they don't have in the US. They don't do the holding of a president to account the way we do it. So it's about British democracy that I think is quite special.
"I doubt I will be on her next track, but I still do like Starships, and I still do like 212, which is Azalea's song, so they can probably hear the R&B and hip-hop fan in me."
Mrs Badenoch turned on Wes Streeting's leadership plots on Wednesday, warning that the Health Secretary has been "distracted".
In a debate on the King's Speech setting out the Government's plans, she said: "Scrapping NHS England, something the Prime Minister announced 14 months ago - but I suppose the Health Secretary has been a bit distracted lately, hasn't he?"
Looking straight at Mr Streeting on the Labour front bench, she said: "He's chuntering now, why don't you just do your job? Do your job!"
Mrs Badenoch added: "There's no point him giving me dirty looks, we all know what he has been up to. We all know."
