Drone Strike Near Abu Dhabi Nuclear Plant
Cairo: A drone attack ignited a fire near a nuclear power facility in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, as reported by officials from the United Arab Emirates.
According to a statement from the Abu Dhabi media office, the blaze erupted in an external electrical generator located outside the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant's perimeter in Al Dhafra.
Fortunately, there were no injuries reported, and authorities confirmed that radiological safety levels were not affected.
This drone strike occurred amidst a tenuous ceasefire between the United States and Iran, although underlying tensions persist, raising concerns about a potential escalation in the Middle East and the ongoing global energy crisis linked to the conflict.
