DC vs RR Toss & Playing XI, IPL 2026: Delhi Wins Toss and Opts to Bowl First in Match 62
Cricket Gully | May 17, 2026 10:39 PM CST

Match 62 of IPL 2026 will be played between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Both teams have no margin for error, with both fighting for a place in the playoff picture. DC have not won at home since the second week of the competition and have just one victory to show out of six attempts in the nation's capital. RR, with two more points and a game in hand are better placed in the league, but have lost some of their early season form, particularly during their second half performance.

The Delhi Capitals' team have been struggling with both their batting and their bowling throughout the course of this year's competition. Their top order has been misfiring, while KL Rahul's early season form has disappeared with every innings. However, a huge chase of 200 against PBKS last time out was put on by the middle order, who had useful contributions from Axar Patel, David Miller and Ashutosh Sharma. RR will be worried about the lack of form from Yashasvi Jaiswal and Riyan Parag and also from 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, though the performance of Dhruv Jurel should encourage them, as their bowling unit has gone quite off the rails too of late.

The Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi has been good for batting in previous fixtures here due to the short boundary and the good wicket to hit through the lines. The venue has witnessed a successful chase of 210 previously, but also a terrible collapse and hundred in excess of fifty, which means a low-scoring match is also a possibility, though it is perhaps more likely that tonight's game will be a run-fest due to the strength of the middle orders of both sides.

At the toss, Delhi have won and chose to bowl first.
