Two arrested for illegal cattle transportation in Ankola

Ankola: Police have arrested two persons for allegedly transporting cattle illegally near Gundabala in Ankola taluk.
The accused have been identified as Appasab from Kittur and Sachin Basappa Gadded from Bailhongal.
Police seized two Rajasthan Gir breed bulls and the vehicle used for transportation.
According to police, the operation was carried out based on information provided by Gundabala resident Vishweshwar Bhat.
The cattle were being transported in a Mahindra Bolero vehicle bearing a Belagavi registration number. Police said the bulls had been tightly packed in a small space between bags of puffed rice to avoid suspicion.
