Director Rajiv Rai had told in an interview that this song was a big hit on Radio Nasha, but gradually it started being used in wrong contexts.

The song ‘Oye Oye’ is said to be inspired by the global hit song ‘Rhythm Is Gonna Get You’, which was composed by the duo Kalyanji-Anandji. Kavita Krishnamurthy and Suresh Wadkar lent their voices to this song. With time this song became a part of pop culture, but the controversy associated with it still surprises people.
In this way, ‘Tridev’ was not only a blockbuster film, but also became a part of both discussion and controversy because of its song, the echo of which is heard among the people even after 36 years.
