Chaithra Achar calls out abusive messages online

Kannada actor Chaithra Achar has once again spoken out against online harassment after allegedly receiving inappropriate messages from a man reportedly associated with the police department.

The actor shared screenshots of the conversation on social media, identifying the sender as Mahesh Hosamani. Following the public post, the man allegedly apologised and requested her to remove the screenshots, stating that he had acted “out of concern” and feared the controversy could affect his job.

Chaithra later shared screenshots of the apology as well, questioning whether the sender had considered her dignity and profession before sending the messages. She also tagged Bengaluru City Police in her posts while highlighting the issue.

The actor, who remains active on Instagram, frequently shares updates from her personal and professional life. While she often ignores casual trolling, she has repeatedly taken a stand against comments and messages she considers vulgar, disrespectful, or abusive.

Her latest post has sparked conversations online regarding cyber harassment and the responsibility of social media users to maintain respectful communication, especially towards women in the public eye.
