There is good news for students in the capital preparing for admission into Post Graduate (PG) courses at Delhi University (DU). The university has initiated the PG admission registration process for the academic session 2026-27. Interested students can visit the designated portal and submit their applications by June 7. Once again, admissions will be granted entirely based on the scores obtained in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-PG). No student will be granted admission without a valid CUET score.

**CUET Scores: The Deciding Factor**
According to the DU administration, to secure admission into PG courses, students must first appear for the CUET-PG examination. A merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in this test. Subsequently, the university will commence the seat allocation process. Students are advised to fill in their details carefully while applying to avoid any complications later on.

**Restructured PG Courses Under the New Education Policy**
In accordance with the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Delhi University will now offer two options for PG studies: one-year and two-year Master's degree courses. This will make it easier for students to choose an option that aligns best with their academic and career aspirations.

**Applications Currently Open for Two-Year Courses Only**
For the time being, the university has opened the application process exclusively for the two-year PG courses. Applications for admission into the one-year Master's programs will be invited later through a separate portal.

**Application Fee Details**
The application fee for DU PG admissions has been structured according to different categories. Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) categories are required to pay a fee of ₹100 per course. Meanwhile, for students belonging to the General, OBC-NCL, and EWS categories, the fee has been set at ₹250 per program.

**Opportunity to Apply Even After the Deadline**
For students who are unable to submit their applications within the stipulated deadline, the university will open a 'Mid-Entry Window.' During this period, students will be able to apply by paying an additional fee of ₹1,000. Furthermore, 'Spot Admission' rounds will also be conducted to fill any remaining vacant seats. The university has advised students to regularly check the portal for every new update related to admissions.
