PM Modi leaves for Norway after completing his two-day visit to Sweden

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left for Norway after concluding his two-day visit to Sweden on Monday morning. Let us tell you that after reaching Norway, he will attend the third India-Nordic summit to be held in Oslo on May 19, on which everyone’s eyes are fixed.

Before reaching Norway, PM Modi shared a post on his official social media account X mentioning his two-day visit to Sweden. In which he has said that many important results have been marked during the visit, which will give new impetus to India-Sweden relations.

PM Modi wrote while tweeting "My visit to Sweden was marked by several important outcomes which will give new impetus to India-Sweden relations. From elevating our relations to the level of a strategic partnership, launching the Joint Innovation Partnership 2.0 and the India-Sweden Technology and Artificial Intelligence Corridor, to setting an ambitious target of doubling bilateral trade in the next five years, the discussions were extremely fruitful. I thank the people of Sweden, the Government of Sweden and Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson for their affection and friendship."

What aspects were discussed

Let us tell you, during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Sweden, many important topics have been agreed upon. According to the All India Radio report, under the India-Sweden Joint Action Plan (2026–2030), bilateral relations are being guided towards taking them to the level of strategic partnership.

Under this plan, bilateral economic exchanges in green hydrogen, semiconductor and advanced manufacturing have been talked about in the next five years. In this, emphasis has been laid on ‘Made in India’ and ‘Made with Sweden’ and the objective has been set to increase the exchange twofold.

Apart from this, the aim has been to strengthen technical cooperation and connect the startup ecosystem of both the countries through ‘Joint Innovation Partnership 2.0’ and ‘Sweden-India Technology and AI Corridor’ (SITAC). Along with this, 6G and small business have also been discussed.

Let us tell you, during PM Modi’s visit, a special moment was seen when the Prime Minister was honored with the ‘Royal Order of the Polar Star’ by Sweden. This honor is considered the highest honor for foreign heads of state in Sweden, after which the relations between the two countries seem to be getting stronger.
