PM Modi is on a visit to 5 countries. He has reached Norway in the fourth leg of his journey. That Norway which is known for its beauty. High mountains, colorful northern lights visible in the sky and ice glaciers add to its beauty. But very few people know that there are places in India too which are compared to Norway and are called Mini Norway.

Some special places in India are like the beautiful locations of Norway. This is the reason why it has been named Mini Norway. These include Dibang Valley of Arunachal Pradesh, Narkanda of Himachal Pradesh and Lahaul Valley. Know why it has been named Mini Norway.

Dibang Valley: Not less than Norway in beauty

Whenever Mini India is mentioned in India, the first name that comes to mind is Dibang Valley of Arunachal Pradesh because its beauty is much like Norway. Due to less population, there is no crowd here. Natural tourist spots add to its beauty. Geographically it is a U-shaped valley. The roads appear to be undulating like snakes.

Narkanda: Hill Station of Himachal Pradesh

Narkanda, located in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, is a beautiful and peaceful hill station. It is known for its wonderful views of apple orchards, dense pine trees and snow-clad peaks. Hatu Peak is the highest and main attraction of Narkanda. There is an ancient temple of Hatu Mata here. The beauty of 'Jau Bagh', the velvety grasslands spread around it, brings peace to the mind. Just like the natural beauty of Norway. This is the reason why this place in India is also called Mini Norway.

Lahaul Valley of Himachal Pradesh connects Norway to India in another respect. Lahaul, situated in front of Rohtang and Atal Tunnel Corridor, is like a cold desert. It is identified by wide plains, mountains and far-flung settlements.

In winter, the lower part of the valley is covered with snow and Chinar trees enhance the beauty under the open sky.
