Riteish Deshmukh’s magnum opus Raja Shivaji co-starring Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan and Fardeen Khan continues to break records at the box office even its third weekend.
The period action epic collected Rs 57.70 crore in India on week one, Rs 27 crore in week two and Rs 8.40 crore in weekend three for a 17-day total of Rs 93.10 crore net (Rs 109.90 crore gross).

This makes Raja Shivaji only second movie in history of Marathi cinema to hit Rs 100 crore globally and also makes it the top grossing Marathi movie of all time beating Nagraj Manjule’s Sairat.
Back in 2016, Sairat collected Rs 110 crore in its lifetime at global box office and Rs 90 crore net in India.
Raja Shivaji is now the top grossing Marathi movie in India as well as globally and is all set to become the first movie from the regional industry to hit a century in India.
Both Sairat (2016) and Baipan Bhari Deva (2023) made around Rs 90 crore net in India, but their biz was entirely from Marathi version whereas in case of Raja Shivaji it made around Rs 25 crore from Hindi version.
Raja Shivaji is expected to hit Rs 100 crore net in India by day 20 and may end its lifetime run between Rs 130-140 crore.
