Meghan Markle is set to branch out into a new role, according to an expert who believes she has tipped off fans at what comes next. The Duchess of Sussex has maintained a number of business activities following her and Prince Harry's departure from the Royal Family.
Meghan and Harry founded Archewell, a mix of for-profit and not-for-profit business organizations, in 2020. Since then Meghan has hosted a Spotify exclusive podcast and launched her own cooking brand, As Ever, in 2024. Her next business step could be in the fashion trade, says Annabel Fenwick Elliott.
The correspondent has claimed Meghan will look to launch her own brand in the near future, with a telling post to Instagram seemingly testing the waters of how the brand may fare.
Elliott, writing in The Daily Mail, shared: "No, my money is on Meghan branching out into fashion with her brand, As Ever. Her lifestyle company is, after all, the only account she follows on Instagram.
"That date could be looming ever closer. Eagle-eyed devotees did spot a new sizing chart for T-shirts appearing on her brand's website, both for adults and kids, last week, although it was swiftly deleted. Was it a tease, or a glitch?"
Meghan's choice of attire became the focus of her Instagram post as Elliott noted she had worn one particular item of clothing at a recent media event.
The Duchess of Sussex made an emotional speech when she opened The Lost Screen Memorial at Geneva's Place des Nations in Switzerland.
Meghan said in her speech: "Behind me stands The Lost Screen Memorial. Not statistics. Not avatars. Not data points. Children.
"Each name belonged to a child who was loved beyond measure. A child whose laughter once filled a kitchen. Whose shoes once waited by a front door. Whose future once felt limitless."
Elliott added: "Is she trying to be relatable or likeable, given she recently complained about being 'the most trolled person in the entire world'? Surely not, or she'd be in PJs and pulling a face, not pursing her lips with Armani, Manolo Blahnik and Christian Dior labels proudly on show.
"Ignore for a moment the similarity of the Armani jacket hanging up on the right of this image to that she wore in Geneva yesterday at the inauguration of the Lost Screen memorial for children who lost their lives as a result of harm suffered on social media."
