Twisha Sharma Death Case: Mugguru Monagallu Co-Star Dheekshithh Shetty, Director Abhilash Reddy In Shock

Actress and former Miss Pune was found dead at her home in Bhopal last week. The actress was originally from Noida in Uttar Pradesh and was found hanging at her husband Samarth Singh’s house on May 12. For the unversed, Twisha died just five months after her wedding. Hence, the alleged dowry death cast has sent shock waves across the nation. Recently, Twisha’s Mugguru Monagallu co-star Dheekshithh Shetty and director Abhilash Reddy have expressed their grief and shock after learning about her tragic demise. Dheekshithh confessed that he had no idea about her marriage since they worked together many years ago on the Telugu film, which was released in 2021.
Dheekshithh Shetty, Abhilash Reddy React To Twisha Sharma’s Death
Twisha Sharma was an MBA graduate. She had worked in a company in Delhi for many years before her marriage. She met her husband on a dating app in 2024 and tied the knot in December 2025. Twisha had acted in two films, Mugguru Monagallu (2021) and Zara Sambhal Kay (2018).
During an interaction with Hindustan Times, who shot to fame with the film The Girlfriend (2025), said that he is very shocked after learning about Twisha Sharma’s death. He called her a committed, hard-working girl. “She was so full of life, and it’s shocking to know that she took her own life,” Rashmika Mandanna’s co-star added.
Moreover, Dheekshithh also mentioned that he and Twisha had not been in touch after they wrapped up the shooting of their film. He didn’t even know that she got married. While recalling her last conversation with Dheekshithh, the actor said, “She told me that she wanted to do her master's degree and acting was not up to the mark of what she was expecting it to be. Her brother was in the army, and she realised it wasn’t her cup of tea, so she wanted to just go back and settle with her family.”

On the other hand, the director of Mugguru Monagallu, Abhilash Reddy, said that the news of Twisha Sharma’s death is very sad and shocking. He had met her parents on the day of his film’s screening.
Twisha Sharma Death Case Update
According to the latest update in the case, Bhopal Police have formed a six-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) to conduct an investigation into allegations of dowry harassment against Twisha’s husband Samarth and her mother-in-law, retired judge Giribala Singh.
The police officer of Kantara Hills Police Station, Sunil Kumar Dubey, said that Twisha’s family has accused her in-laws of murder. According to them, Twisha had remained in contact with them over the phone until 10 pm on Tuesday. She wanted to leave Bhopal and return to Noida, according to relatives.
On the other hand, the Bhopal court has granted anticipatory bail to the retired judge on Friday. More details regarding the case are awaited.
