Young pacer Rasikh Salam Dar made a brilliant comeback during the IPL 2026 clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), dismissing Cameron Green right after being hit for a boundary.
In the 57th match of IPL 2026 at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Raipur on Wednesday (May 13), RCB captain Rajat Patidar won the toss and chose to bowl first.
KKR got off to a quick start but lost two early wickets. Finn Allen scored 18 off 8 balls, while captain Ajinkya Rahane made 19 off 13 before getting dismissed. After that, Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Cameron Green steadied the innings with a 68-run partnership for the third wicket in 46 balls.
At a crucial stage, captain Patidar trusted young pacer Rasikh Salam once again. Cameron Green smashed the first ball of Rasikh’s 13th over for a boundary. However, the bowler responded immediately on the very next delivery. Rasikh bowled a sharp 135.5 kmph length ball that came slightly inward. Green attempted a big shot but completely missed it as the ball crashed into the middle stump.
Green’s innings ended at 32 runs off 24 balls, and KKR suffered their third major setback at 116 runs.
KKR currently sit eighth on the points table with 9 points from 10 matches and need wins in their remaining games to keep their playoff hopes alive. Meanwhile, RCB are second on the table with 14 points from 11 matches and are looking to strengthen their playoff chances with a victory.
