IPL Points Table 2026 Updated After CSK vs SRH match: Sunrisers Hyderabad qualified for the IPL 2026 playoffs after defeating Chennai Super Kings by 5 wickets at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on May 18. Batting first, CSK posted 180/7 in 20 overs. Sanju Samson got CSK off to a blistering start, but was removed by Pat Cummins for 27. Urvil Patel smacked two maximums against Cummins in the same over, but was dismissed by Sakib Hussain for 13 runs.

Gaikwad struggled to score runs, but Kartik Sharma continued the momentum by smashing 32 runs off 19 balls. Cummins returned to dismiss both Gaikwad and Kartik in successive overs. Dewald Brevis stitched a crucial 59-run partnership with Shivam Dube for the fifth wicket. Brevis played attacking shots and scored 44 runs off 27 balls, but his sensational knock was ended by Eshan Malinga in the 18th over. Dube also scored 26 runs off 23 balls as CSK set a 181-run target for SRH.

In reply, SRH chased down the target with one over remaining. Mukesh Choudhary removed Travis Head cheaply, while Akeal Hosein dismissed Abhishek for 26. But Heinrich Klassen and Ishan Kishan batted well, forging a match-winning 75-run stand for the third wicket. Kishan scored 70 runs off 47 balls, while Klassen also amassed 47 off 26 as SRH defeated CSK by 5 wickets to qualify for the playoffs.
