The Importance of Sex Education

Saba Azad, the talented actor, has emphasized the necessity of mandatory sex education in educational institutions while discussing women's health awareness prior to the launch of the second season of 'Who's Your Gynac?'.

In a recent interview, she expressed her belief that sex education is crucial for empowering students to make informed choices. "I firmly believe that sex education should be a requirement in all schools, not just private ones. It does not corrupt young minds; rather, it enlightens them. When children grow up with knowledge, they are better equipped to make sound decisions. Therefore, it is vital that this education is accessible to everyone," she stated.

Addressing Women's Health Awareness

Saba also pointed out the significant gap in awareness and research regarding women's health, noting that discussions about female reproductive and overall health have historically been limited.

"When it comes to women's health, there is a lack of dialogue and research. Since 2026, we have finally begun to focus on studying women's bodies. Previously, research was predominantly conducted on male bodies, and findings were simply applied to females. For instance, while intermittent fasting may benefit men, it is not necessarily advantageous for women. Many remain unaware of such distinctions," Saba remarked.

Preparation for the Role of Dr. Vidushi Kothari

Discussing her preparation for portraying Dr. Vidushi Kothari, a young OB-GYN in the series, Saba revealed that the production team consulted a gynecologist to gain insights into medical terminology and procedures.

"We consulted a gynecologist who guided us on using medical equipment and pronouncing specific terms correctly. She provided us with a presentation, which we studied thoroughly," Saba shared.

Character Development in the New Season

Saba also reflected on her return for the second season, highlighting the evolution of her character. "It was fascinating to see how her character arc is developing. As she matures, her life challenges are also changing," she noted.

Regarding Vidushi's journey in the upcoming season, Saba mentioned that the character now grapples with self-doubt and personal insecurities. "Previously, others doubted her abilities, but now she is beginning to question herself," she explained, adding that such feelings are common among young professionals striving to establish their careers.

What to Expect in the New Season

When discussing what viewers can anticipate from the new season, Saba said, "Vidushi remains the same, but her surroundings are evolving. Her friends are progressing in their lives, and she is starting her career. While everyone around her is maturing, Vidushi feels as though she is falling behind. This theme will be prominent in the upcoming season."

Produced by The Viral Fever, the second season of 'Who's Your Gynac?' features Saba Azad alongside Karishma Singh, Aaron Arjun Koul, Kunal Thakur, and Vibha Chibber.

The series is set to premiere on May 22 on Amazon miniTV.
