Reality TV personality and actress Edin Rose, who gained popularity through Bigg Boss 18, has joined the cast of Jailer 2, the highly anticipated sequel starring superstar Rajinikanth.
The film continues the story of the 2023 blockbuster Jailer, with Rajinikanth returning as the powerful ‘Tiger’ Muthuvel Pandian, according to Variety India.
Rose is reportedly playing a bold, city-bred character in the action entertainer and has already completed nearly a month of shooting for the film. Sources suggest her role is substantial and not just a brief appearance, with scenes alongside several major stars.
The ensemble cast of “Jailer 2” is expected to include Mohanlal, S. J. Suryah, Shiva Rajkumar, Ramya Krishnan, Mithun Chakraborty, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Yogi Babu.
Apart from “Jailer 2,” Edin Rose will also be seen in Love Insurance Kompany starring Pradeep Ranganathan. In the film, she plays Selena, the romantic interest of a character portrayed by S. J. Suryah.
Rose earlier appeared in the song “Dikka Dishum” from Ravanasura featuring Ravi Teja. She later reunited with the actor in his 2026 release Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi.
Born to Indian parents and based in Dubai, Edin Rose began her acting career in 2020 with Gandii Baat produced by Ekta Kapoor.
Meanwhile, the makers of “Jailer 2” have reportedly postponed the film’s release from June 12 to the Krishna Jayanthi holiday window in September to maximise box office potential.
