Bengaluru: Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa was visited by his wife Vijayalakshmi Darshan and son at Parappana Agrahara Central Jail in Bengaluru on Tuesday.
The meeting took place on the occasion of the couple’s 23rd wedding anniversary. Darshan had recently sought special permission from jail authorities to meet his wife and son. Following approval, Vijayalakshmi and their son Vineesh visited the jail.
According to reports, Vijayalakshmi carried fruits and other items for the actor during the visit.
Sources said Darshan became emotional after seeing his wife and son after several months. He was also said to have hugged his son during the meeting.
In connection with the ongoing case against him, Darshan had recently approached the Supreme Court seeking bail. However, the court reportedly directed that witness examination in the case should be completed within a year.
