Cool, soft and full of mango flavor, this Mango Malai Roll is truly a wonderful summer dessert. It is also easy to make and can be prepared with very few ingredients. Material

Ripe mangoes – 2 large
Fresh malai or whipping cream – 1 cup
Condensed milk-1/2 cup
Milk powder-1/4 cup
Bread slices – 6–8 (edges removed)
Cardamom powder-1/2 tsp
Chopped pistachios and almonds for garnish
A little milk to roll the bread

Method

  1. Peel the mango and cut it into small pieces. Grind half a mango and make a smooth puree. Keep small pieces of the remaining half mango so that there are bites in the roll.
  2. Add cream, condensed milk, milk powder and cardamom powder in a bowl. Beat it well. Now add mango puree and mango pieces to it.
  3. Cut the edges of the bread slices. Roll out the bread thinly with a rolling pin. Apply some milk on the bread so that it becomes soft. Place mango cream mixture in the middle and roll it tightly.
  4. Wrap the prepared rolls in foil or butter paper and keep them in the refrigerator for 1–2 hours. After it cools down, sprinkle dry fruits on top and serve.

Tips to enhance taste

  1. Adding saffron increases both taste and aroma.
  2. If you want, you can also add some white chocolate inside.
  3. Use Greek yogurt and malai together for a richer texture.
  4. This dessert is so creamy and soft that it literally melts in the mouth. This is a perfect no-bake sweet dish for summer parties, family dinners or for kids.
