As soon as the summer season starts, sour and sweet berries rich in nutrients start appearing in the market. This fruit is not only delicious but also gives natural coolness in summers. Ayurveda considers blackberries to be extremely beneficial for diabetic patients and pregnant women.

The Environment, Water and Forest Department of Bihar Government gives information about the benefits of blackberries. According to the department, blackberries are said to be the enemy of diabetes. It has a low glycemic index, which helps in keeping blood sugar stable. In summer, when there is a high risk of increasing blood sugar, regular consumption of blackberries keeps it under control.

Jamun is especially useful for pregnant women. It contains a good amount of natural folic acid, which is essential for the development of the baby in the womb.

In Ayurveda, Jamun is considered cooling and bile sedative. It reduces excess body heat and cools the stomach. Jamun is rich in fiber, which improves digestion, relieves constipation and keeps the stomach healthy.

It is rich in Vitamin C and antioxidants, which increases immunity and prevents summer diseases. Due to its low calories, it is also helpful in controlling weight.

Not only this, blackberries are also very beneficial for heart health. The potassium present in it controls blood pressure and helps in reducing cholesterol. Apart from this, Jamun is also effective in increasing the glow of the skin. It helps in improving the skin affected by summer sun and sweat.

Apart from the fruit of Jamun, its leaves and branches are also used. In Ayurveda, Jamun branch is considered to be the best toothpaste, which cures oral diseases. In summer, eat fresh berries, make juice and drink it or add it to salad.
