Snow City, Singapore’s first indoor snow center located within the Science Centre and a popular destination for tourists, will permanently close on Sept. 30 after 26 years of operations.
The closure reflects the Science Centre Board’s commitment to “keeping its offerings fresh and relevant amid shifting visitor interests and an evolving attractions landscape”, Science Centre Singapore said in a statement on May 19.
Ahead of its closure, Snow City Singapore will launch a public farewell campaign titled “One Last Snowfall.”
From June to September, visitors will be able to enjoy limited-time experiences and promotional offers, including a package featuring one hour of snow play and a bumper car ride.
The package will be priced at S$19 (US$14.82) for adults and S$16 for children during the campaign period, reduced from the usual rates of S$27 and S$23, respectively.
It first opened its doors in 2000 and has become a favored tourist attraction in the city-state.
