New Delhi. Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar has approved the recommendations of Chief Minister VD Satheesan regarding cabinet allocation. Satheesan will take charge of 35 departments including finance, law, general administration and ports, while senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala has been given the responsibility of home, vigilance and three other departments.

Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) leader PK Kunhalikutty will oversee the departments of Industries and Commerce, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence(AI), Startups, Mining and Geology and Handlooms and Textiles.

Lok Bhavan said Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) chief Sunny Joseph has been given the charge of power, environment and parliamentary affairs, while senior party leader K. Muraleedharan will head seven departments including health, Devaswom, food security and medical education.

Apart from these, Rosie M. John will handle the higher education department, A.P. Anil Kumar will head the land and revenue department and N. Shamsuddin will be the General Education Minister. Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) MLA Shibu Baby John has been assigned the Forest and Wildlife Conservation and Skill Development departments, while Kerala Congress (Joseph) MLA Mon Joseph will head the Irrigation, Ground Water, Water Supply, Sanitation and Housing departments, Lok Bhavan said.
