Know the difference between calories and fat burn from experts
What is calorie burning?
Dr. Anjali Tiwari (Senior Consultant – Diet and Nutrition, Apollo Spectra Hospital, Kanpur) She says that the words fat burn and calorie burn are often heard among people trying to lose weight, but both have different meanings.
According to experts, calorie is the unit of energy received by the body and our body keeps burning calories all the time, whether we are walking, sleeping or exercising.

what is fat burn
Dr. Anjali said that fat burning means gradual reduction of extra fat accumulated in the body. Many people assume that sweating a lot, going to the gym for a long time or doing heavy cardio is reducing fat rapidly, whereas initially the body first uses carbohydrates i.e. glycogen for energy.
When the body is continuously in calorie deficit and a balanced diet and regular exercise is followed, then the body starts using stored fat. This is why just seeing low numbers on the weight machine is not always a sign of fat loss.

These problems may occur
Many times, due to crash diet, being hungry or doing excessive workout, the body starts losing water and muscles, which can lead to problems like weakness, fatigue and slow metabolism. To lose weight in a healthy way, it is important to take protein, fiber and balanced nutrition, do both strength training and cardio and get enough sleep.
The true goal of reducing obesity should not be just to lose weight quickly but to improve fitness and metabolism by reducing excess body fat, only then the results remain sustainable and safe in the long run.
