Special meeting of PM Modi-Melloni in Italy, from dinner to Colosseum visit – see some amazing pictures

Rome. Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Rome as part of his Italy tour, where Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni welcomed him warmly. After reaching Rome, there was a meeting between the two leaders, in which global and bilateral issues were discussed in detail. During this, both the leaders had dinner together and later also visited the historical and world famous Colosseum of Rome.

PM Georgia Meloni welcomed Prime Minister Modi on social media and wrote, “Welcome to Rome, my friend”, which intensified the discussion about the strengthening friendship between the two countries.

Emphasis on giving new heights to India-Italy relations-
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he is excited about the formal talks to further strengthen relations between India and Italy. He expressed hope that new opportunities will open for strategic partnership, trade, investment and cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

Indian music echoed in Italy-
A special glimpse of Indian music was also seen during the welcome program organized by the Indian community in Rome. Five Italian artists enthralled everyone with their presentation of Raga Hansdhvani. Prime Minister Modi praised and congratulated the artists—Lerio Bruni, Leo Vertunni, Simone Mattiello, Francesco Gherardi and Niccolo Melocchi.

PM Modi said that Indian music and culture is becoming increasingly popular in Italy, which is further strengthening the cultural ties between the two countries.

Appreciation of Indian community-
Prime Minister Modi expressed special gratitude to the Indian community settled in Italy. He said that on reaching Rome the Indian community welcomed him very warmly. PM Modi said that the Indian diaspora is bringing glory to India across the world and is playing an important role in strengthening India-Italy relations.

India-Italy relations are continuously getting stronger-
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had earlier visited Italy to attend the G7 summit in June 2024. His visit is taking place at a time when strategic and economic relations between India and Italy are continuously reaching new heights.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, both countries are actively working on the Joint Strategic Action Plan 2025-2029. Under this, cooperation is being increased in areas like trade, investment, defence, security, clean energy, science and technology, innovation and people-to-people contacts.

Partnership also increased in trade and investment-
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, bilateral trade between India and Italy has increased to US $ 16.77 billion by the year 2025. At the same time, between April 2000 and September 2025, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) of US $ 3.66 billion has been recorded from Italy to India. Both the countries are continuously moving towards strengthening their strategic partnership.
