Business Desk- Gold Silver Rate Today: On May 20, 2026, a fall in the prices of gold and silver is being seen on the Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX). On Wednesday, gold rates on MCX reached Rs 158,114 per 10 grams, while silver rates reached Rs 268,314 per kg. However, at present there is a slight rise in gold prices in the bullion markets.

What changed on MCX?

On Tuesday, gold prices on MCX closed at Rs 159,136 per 10 grams after a gain of 0.4%, while silver prices closed at Rs 270,407 per kg after a gain of 0.11%. Compared to yesterday’s closing rates, today gold prices have seen a huge fall of 1,022, while silver prices have fallen by 2,093.

Gold prices in India (as per IBJA)

According to the Indian Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), the price of 24-carat gold (999 purity) in India is Rs 159,077 per 10 grams. The price of 23-carat gold (995 purity) is Rs 158,440 per 10 grams.

Whereas the price of 22-carat gold (916 purity) is Rs 145,715 per 10 grams. The price of 18-carat gold (750 purity) is Rs 119,308 per 10 grams. The rate of 14-carat gold (585 purity) is Rs 93,060 per 10 grams.

1 kg silver price in india

On May 20, silver prices also witnessed a decline in the physical bullion markets of India. Yesterday the price of silver in Chennai had reached Rs 300,000 per kg. Today, the price fell to Rs 299,900 per kg. Similarly, the price of silver remained stable at Rs 284,900 per kg in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Hyderabad.

24K, 22K, 18K latest gold rates in major cities of the country

In Mumbai, the price of 24 carat gold was recorded at Rs 1,57,040 and that of 22 carat gold was recorded at Rs 1,43,950 per 10 grams. Here 18 carat gold is being sold at Rs 1,17,780 per 10 grams.

In Kolkata, 24 carat gold is Rs 1,57,040 and 22 carat gold is Rs 1,43,950 per 10 grams. Whereas the price of 18 carat gold was recorded at Rs 1,62,220.

In Patna, 24 carat gold is being sold at Rs 1,57,090 and 22 carat gold is being sold at Rs 1,44,000 per 10 grams. Here the price of 18 carat gold is Rs 1,17,830 per 10 grams.

Gold prices remain the highest in Chennai. Here 24 carat gold is being sold at Rs 1,62,220, 22 carat gold at Rs 1,48,700 and 18 carat gold at Rs 1,24,100 per 10 grams.

In Noida, the price of 24 carat gold is Rs 1,57,190 and 22 carat gold is Rs 1,44,100 per 10 grams. Whereas the price of 18 carat gold was recorded at Rs 1,17,930 per 10 grams.

In Bangalore, 24 carat gold is being sold at Rs 1,57,040, 22 carat gold at Rs 1,44,000 and 18 carat gold at Rs 1,17,830 per 10 grams.
