The Delhi government on Wednesday launched the “Flight of Aspirations 2026-27” talent hunt scheme aimed at identifying and supporting young talent across the capital. The initiative seeks to provide a platform for youth to showcase their abilities in a range of creative and performing arts fields.
According to officials, the programme will be conducted across all 70 assembly constituencies in Delhi and is expected to involve participation from more than 25,000 young people. The scheme is designed to encourage emerging artists and performers by offering them visibility and opportunities to develop their skills.
Participants will be able to compete and present their work in categories including singing, dance, theatre, fine arts, digital art, instrumental music and music composition. The initiative is expected to involve local-level events and talent selection activities before participants move to wider stages of competition and recognition.
During the launch event, senior government representatives and officials from concerned departments were present. The programme has been positioned as part of broader efforts to engage young people through cultural and creative activities while encouraging talent development at the grassroots level.
Officials said the scheme aims to reach aspiring artists from diverse backgrounds and provide a structured platform for participation. Further details regarding registration, schedules and selection processes are expected to be announced by the concerned departments in the coming weeks.
