There has been a heated phone call between US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the future of the ongoing war with Iran. According to American media reports, differences regarding strategy have emerged between the two leaders in this conversation.

According to reports, while America appears to be in favor of dialogue and agreement, Israel’s stance is to launch military attacks on Iran again.

US media outlet Axios reported on Wednesday that Netanyahu was “very angry” after the phone call with Trump on Tuesday. The report claimed that the Israeli Prime Minister wants to launch attacks again to weaken Iran’s military capabilities and destroy its critical infrastructure, so as to put pressure on the government there.

At the same time, Trump had said on Sunday that he has postponed the proposed attacks on Iran on Tuesday. This decision was taken after the request of many Arab countries including Qatar and UAE.

Axios, quoting sources, reported that Qatar and Pakistan, along with other regional mediators, have prepared a new ‘peace proposal’, which aims to reduce differences between the US and Iran.

The Israeli leadership wants to resume military action against Iran. It is also being said that Israel is disappointed that Trump is allowing Iran’s alleged ‘diplomatic delay’ to continue. According to the report of ‘Axios’, Trump told Netanyahu that mediators are preparing a ‘Letter of Intent’, which will be signed by both the US and Iran. The aim would be to formally end the war and begin 30 days of negotiations.
