Friends, in today’s modern era, WhatsApp is the most popular app of instant messaging, which has more than 4 billion users, the company brings new features for these users, one such feature is about to be added, which will make it easier for the users to share status updates. Similar to Instagram’s “Close Friends” option, this upcoming update will allow users to share their WhatsApp status only with selected contacts. Let us know about this feature-
How will this new feature work?
This upcoming feature will allow users to create customized contact lists to share status updates. Instead of manually selecting contacts each time, users will be able to create different groups, such as family, close friends, work colleagues, or other personal circles.
What changes will this feature bring?
Right now, sharing WhatsApp status with just a few people can be quite a chore. Users either have to manually select contacts each time or remove certain people from their entire contact list.
With the introduction of custom status list, this problem will be reduced to a great extent. Once the list is created, users will be able to quickly select the people of their choice for each status update, without having to change privacy settings again and again.
Strong privacy controls for users
One of the biggest features of this feature is better privacy. If a contact is added or removed from the custom list, WhatsApp won’t notify that person.
Additionally, these lists can be edited at any time, allowing users to add or remove contacts as needed.
WhatsApp is also testing paid subscription service
Apart from the new status-sharing feature, WhatsApp is also reportedly testing its premium subscription service “WhatsApp Plus”. This service has already been started in some selected areas of Europe.
