The movie Drishyam 3 has created a huge record at the box office even before its release. The Mohanlal starrer crime thriller has collected Rs 35.27 crore in advance bookings worldwide on its first day. This made ‘Drishyam 3’ the second highest pre-sales film in Malayalam cinema with L2: Empuraan still holding the top spot. The film’s team is being praised for earning such a huge amount even before its release.

How much pre-booking from which state?

The film has earned an advance of Rs 13.14 crore at the Indian box office. Among them, the ticket sales of Rs 8.52 crore were the highest in Kerala. 1.80 crore from Karnataka, Rs.1.34 crore from Andhra Pradesh-Telangana and Rs.76 lakh from Tamil Nadu. Directed by Jeethu Joseph, the Malayalam version of the film has grossed 11.54 crores and the Telugu, Tamil and Kannada versions are also receiving good response.

‘Drishyam 3’ is getting a great response in foreign countries as well and the film has collected 22.13 crore rupees in the overseas market. ‘Drishyam 3’ has taken the second position in the list of Malayalam films with highest pre-sales on BookMyShow, selling 644K tickets. The film has also beaten films like ‘Patriot’, ‘The GOAT Life’, ‘Aadu 3’ and ‘Turbo’.

In Kerala, Drishyam 3 has also achieved a great feat by securing the third position in the advance booking list of films in all languages. The film created a new record beating Coolie. But the films Leo and L2: Empuraan still hold the top two positions. This success has once again proved Mohanlal’s popularity and his strength at the box office.
