Wearable healthtech startup He can has raised around ₹36.2 Cr (about $3.7 Mn) in a fresh funding round from a clutch of angel investors, including Deepak Gupta, Arnab Basu, Manav Gupta, Vilas Dharamong others.
According to MCA filings accessed by Inc42, Gabit’s board approved the allotment of 4,274 pre-Series A5 CCPS in March at a face value of ₹100 each and a premium of ₹38,786 per share, aggregating to about ₹16.6 Cr.
In a separate tranche approved in April, the startup allotted another 4,573 pre-Series A5 CCPS at the same issue price, raising an additional ₹19.6 Cr.
The funding appears to be part of an ongoing round. Queries sent to the startup did not elicit a response till the time of publication.
With the latest infusion, Gabit’s total funding has crossed $12.7 Mn, excluding an undisclosed round raised from Ranbir Kapoor and Badshah last year. It had raised $9.5 Mn in its seed round from Norwest Venture Partners, Deepinder Goyal, and Kunal Shah in 2023.
Founded in 2022 by husband-wife duo and former Zomato cofounder Gaurav Gupta and former SkillTap founder Arpana Shahi, Gabit is a health and wellness platform focused on fitness, nutrition, sleep and stress management.
The startup offers smart wearables, including its flagship titanium smart ring, alongside AI-powered coaching, personalised nutrition and skincare products.
Gabit’s smart ring claims to track more than 150 health markers spanning sleep, recovery, activity, stress and nutrition, while its companion app provides AI-driven insights, customised fitness plans and habit coaching.
In December last year, Gabit acquired Sweden-based nutrition brand Näck to strengthen its supplements and nutrition play.
Besides, the startup also has a skincare vertical with products such as sunscreens, serums, facewash and moisturisers tailored to different skin types and concerns.
Gabit competes with the likes of Ultrahuman, Muse Wearables, HAR in India’s growing wearable healthtech ecosystem.
The funding comes as India’s wearable healthtech ecosystem rapidly moves beyond conventional fitness trackerswith startups pivoting towards AI-powered preventive healthcare, recovery and stress management amid surging consumer demand for integrated wellness platforms spanning diagnostics, coaching, nutrition and skincare.
Investor appetite for the segment has also grown notably in recent months. For instance, just days ago, Sychedelic raised $3.5 Mn in its seed round to scale manufacturing, expand research capabilities and support the upcoming global launch of its health and wellness smart headphones slated for June 2026.
In March, Mave Health raised $2.1 Mn in a seed round led by Blume Ventures. Earlier this year, Deepinder Goyal-backed wearable startup Temple secured $54 Mn at a post-money valuation of around $190 Mn.
Against this backdrop, India’s smart wearables market is projected to grow to $10.26 Bn by 2031.
