Tezzbuzz Desk – Mohanlal’s most awaited film Drishyam 3 has finally hit the theaters and with its release, the film has created a stir at the box office. There was tremendous excitement among the fans about the comeback of Georgekutty for a long time and now the advance booking figures have proved at what level the craze for the film has reached.

According to reports, ‘Drishyam 3’ had taken advance bookings of around Rs 33 crore worldwide before its release. With this great start, the film has joined the list of biggest pre-selling films of Malayalam cinema. The special thing is that the film is getting tremendous response not only in India but also in the overseas market.

The dominance of the film was most visible in Kerala. It is being told that ‘Drishyam 3’ has earned more than Rs 8.20 crore in advance booking from Kerala alone. Even before its release, this figure is being considered a big record for the Malayalam industry. Trade experts believe that if this pace continues, the film can be among the second highest opening films of Malayalam cinema.

However, in terms of advance booking, L2: Empuraan still remains at number one, which is Mohanlal’s own film. But the way ‘Drishyam 3’ is starting at the box office, it is clear that the film can break many records.

The biggest discussion about the film is about Georgekutty’s character. The ‘Drishyam’ franchise has always been loved for its suspense, family drama and thriller elements. The same old thrill and mystery is going to be seen in this third part too, which has once again drawn the audience to the theatre.

According to box office reports, ‘Drishyam 3’ is now eyeing a worldwide gross opening of Rs 50 crore. If the film succeeds in doing so, it could prove to be a historic moment for the Malayalam industry.

Let us tell you that the first part of ‘Drishyam’ was released in the year 2013, which was made with a budget of only Rs 4.5 crore. Despite this, the film did a worldwide business of around Rs 63 crore and proved to be a blockbuster. Whereas ‘Drishyam 2’ was released directly on the OTT platform during the Covid pandemic in the year 2021, which received an excellent response from the audience.
