Patna: Once again a big bomb of inflation has exploded on the pockets of the common man in Bihar. Buying Sudha Dairy products, which are a necessity for every household, from morning tea to dinner, is now going to be more expensive. Bihar State Milk Cooperative Federation Limited (COMFED) has officially announced a huge increase in the prices of Sudha brand milk and many essential items made from it. The only relief is that you have some time to buy goods at the old rate, because these new dairy rates are going to be implemented in the entire state from May 25. This decision will have a direct impact on the budget of common consumers, because items of daily use like milk, curd, ghee, paneer and lassi will now burn more in the pocket.
Why did Sudha Dairy suddenly have to increase its prices?
A very important reason has been given by the Federation for this increase. According to officials, the purchase price of milk purchased from cattle rearing farmers in villages has been increased from Rs 2 to Rs 3.13 per litre. Along with giving more money to the farmers, there was shortage of raw materials in the market, rising prices of diesel-petrol, rising cost of packaging material, transportation and production expenses in the factory were also continuously increasing. The Federation says that due to all these reasons it has been forced to take this big decision of revising the prices of milk and its products.
Now for how much will you get one liter milk, see the complete rate list
After the new rates are revealed, now half liter packet of Sudha Toned Milk will be available to the customers for Rs 28 instead of Rs 27, while its one liter packet will directly increase from Rs 52 to Rs 55. Talking about double toned milk, its half liter packet has increased from Rs 25 to Rs 26 and the price of one liter packet has increased from Rs 48 to Rs 50.
Apart from this, half liter packet of Sudha Standard milk will now be available for Rs 31 and one liter packet for Rs 60. Those who like Sudha Gold milk, which is in highest demand, will now have to pay Rs 35 for half liter packet and Rs 68 for one liter packet. Along with this, the brand has also increased the prices of Cow Milk and Tea Special Milk by Rs 1 to Rs 3.
The pockets of lovers of ghee, cheese and butter will also increase.
If you are thinking that this spice of inflation is only on milk packets, then you are wrong. Many of Sudha’s other very popular milk products have also become very expensive now. Now Sudha’s 500 ml poly pack of ghee will be available in the market directly for Rs 325 instead of Rs 315.
Cheese lovers will also have to spend more money now; The price of 200 grams of paneer has increased from Rs 85 to Rs 95, while a pack of half kg paneer will now be available for Rs 220. Along with this, the price of butter which adds to the glory of breakfast table has also increased a lot. Sudha’s table butter of 100 grams will now be available for Rs 62 and a big pack of 500 grams will be available for Rs 305.
Curd, lassi and sweets also become expensive in summer season
In this season of scorching heat, curd and cold lassi lovers have also got a big shock. According to the new rate list, now a 450 gram curd pouch will be available for Rs 35, whereas to buy a one kg curd packet, customers will have to spend Rs 78. Apart from this, 140 ml plain lassi will now be available for Rs 12 and Mango Lassi lovers will get it for Rs 15. Not only this, the prices of delicious sweets like Peda, Milk Cake, Kalakand, Rasgulla and Gulab Jamun available at Sudha Parlor have also been increased more than before, due to which now the taste of festivals and happy occasions will become a little expensive.
