Akshay Kumar’s dedication towards education

New Delhi: Famous Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has made a significant contribution to the development of a government school in Gurez Valley, Jammu and Kashmir. In 2021, he gave financial assistance of Rs 1 crore to Nero Tulail, the Government Middle School in Bandipora district. With this assistance the infrastructure of the school has been improved and a new, modern education block is now ready for the students there.

Naming of new building

This new education building has been named “Shri Hari Om Bhatia Education Block”, which has been dedicated by Akshay Kumar in the memory of his late father. There was a lack of education facilities in this area located near the Line of Control for a long time. Now, with the help of the actor, children are getting the opportunity to study better.

This new education block includes modern classrooms, computer lab, library and separate offices for teachers. Apart from this, the mid-day meal system of the school has also been improved. Clean and well-organized facilities have been provided for the students, which has improved their studies and daily activities.

Akshay’s Gurez Valley tour

According to locals, Akshay Kumar had visited Gurez Valley in 2021 on the invitation of the Border Security Force (BSF). During this, he met children and villagers in the school of Tulail village. The actor was said to be emotional after seeing the difficulties and limited resources of the students and decided to help the school.

During the Gurez visit, Akshay Kumar also spent time with BSF soldiers deployed on the border. He interacted with the soldiers, posed for photographs and participated in cultural programmes. Along with this, he also visited the war memorial built in the area and paid tribute to the martyred soldiers.

Hope for improvement in education

Now that a new building has been constructed in the school, there is an atmosphere of happiness among the students and teachers. Local people believe that better infrastructure will raise the level of education of children and will give a new direction to education in this remote area. At the same time, Akshay Kumar will be seen in films like “Welcome to the Jungle” and “Haivaan” in the coming times.
