Rajya Sabha Polls: Election Commission announced Rajya Sabha elections for 24 seats, voting will be held on this date

Rajya Sabha Polls: The Election Commission of India on Friday announced to hold elections for the vacant Rajya Sabha seats on June 18. These elections will be held in 10 states, where the tenure of the existing members is ending on different dates between June 21 and July 19. After which a total of 24 seats are becoming vacant.

The Election Commission of India said in a statement that elections for Rajya Sabha seats will be held in 10 states, where the tenure of existing members is ending on different dates between June 21 and July 19. Rajya Sabha elections will be held on four seats each in Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Karnataka. Voting will be held on three vacant seats each in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

Apart from this, elections will be held on two Rajya Sabha seats in Jharkhand and one seat each in Manipur, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram. The last date for filing nomination is June 8.
